New UKBA List of English Language Test Providers

Details of the new - much-abbreviated - list of Language Test providers is here:-

For spouse applications certificates from the previously-listed providers can be used until 17th July. Thereafter only certificates from a company on the new list will be acceptable.

So is this going to be over and above the "Life in the UK" test ?
