Newbie - wanting info

Post by meemyself&I » Thu Dec 01, 2011 8:09 pm

Hi, I have been following this board for a while now. Could someone please let me know if a four months visitor's visa period counts towards the 10 year long residence period.

My situation is that my husby came on visitors visa and spent four months, went back home and obtained a student visa, came to the uk whilst the visitors visa was still valid as well. he will be 10 years next year, does this four months count or does he have to wait for the period he came into the uk as a student.

Ps - he has been on student visa all this while and still has valid student visa until december 2012
