driving license urgent

hi
i only have one name which is written as surname in my passport with an empty space in place of first name. currently i am in uk and applied for a provisional driving license which has my info in line with my passport i.e my name as surname and empty space in front of my first name. when i tried to apply for my driving theory test online i wasnt able to do that as it wants both surname and first name as your license. called both DVLA and DVSA but no one is able to solve the issue and ask me to change/update my name.
need help if anyone has similar complaint
