NHS - Have to visit a doctor

Post by prisat » Thu May 05, 2011 10:55 pm

I have been here for the past six months. And iam employed for the past 5 months. And iam paying my NI.

I havent registered myself with NHS after i reached UK. I am travelling around for my work in different cities. So unable to register.

Now my question is,

Can i register myself at any NHS across UK ?

If yes, please give me the exact formality (like should i fix an appointment and other details) and how much time will it take to go thru the whole process (should i take leave to office and go there OR is it just an general one or couple of hours process or a half day process ?

You can register where you live most of your time/home address, you would require proof of address while you register!

Find your local GP
http://www.nhs.uk/servicedirectories/pa ... earch.aspx

Ring up, fix an appointment with them to register, they could advise how long will it take..
