No surname indian passport

Hi ya..
I had apply for british passport but they put it on hold cuz on my naturalisation certificate there is surname but on indian passport there is no surname they want to align the passport or get authority letter they cant fix it .. can anyone help me in this matter??

You need to get the Indian embassy to send a letter that they can't/won't change your passport or get them to change your current passport.

OP is now British, so by Indian law, no longer Indian. Not sure OP would get any response to that effect as it's no longer their business.

They cant .. cuz now i am british citizen they dnt give me

So you should get an official letter from them that confirms they won't do it, that should be enough for HMPO.

As this is a recurrent issue with Indian citizens (name structure + passport surrender to obtain BC), you might wish to consult fellow Indians on how they navigated this process.

I think this has been discussed here before perhaps in the international sub-forum... or in other forums.

I have a issue with indian passport there is no surname beacuase of that my BP application is on hold.they said on natuarsation certificate there is surname but on indian passport there is no surname..
Do i need to surrender my passport first n get the surrender form n cover letter to hmpo??
Any body help me pls??

You should ask this in the Other countries forum as other Indian citizens will have gone through this. It is a matter of how to correct the Indian passport (or demonstrate it is not possible for you to obtain a new Indian passport).
