EU + non EU bringing business over

Post by Clockwood » Sat Jul 27, 2019 1:56 am

I am an Italian citizen and my husband is a US citizen. We wish to move to Ireland with our business. It is unclear how we would make this work. I understand that I need to prove *my* income in order to bring my husband over. What is stumping me is that it looks like if he comes over as my husband then he can’t work until his residence card is approved, but what about if he’s self employed and running a business? How does that change things?

We do plan on consulting an immigration attorney when we get closer to that point, I’m just trying to get an idea of what to expect in this process for us so we can plan for it better.

I did look through the treads but didn’t see anything, though I could have missed it.
