Hi all,
I exchanged my non-eu driving license to Polish driving license a few years ago. It was not required to take test for this exchange.
I recently moved to the UK and exchanged my Polish license to UK one but I did not pay attention to the form and now recognized(My friends reminded) that there was a question "Where did you pass your test", I answered there "Poland". My friends told me that in case if you pass the test in non-eu contries, then I have to take theory test and practical exam here in the UK, meaning that cannot just exchange.
They say that I can be fined up to 1,000 GBP for this.
I hold UK driving license from June 2019(Because they exchanged it with the form that i submitted), what should I do now? Could you please advise? Dont DVLA check before accepting the applications? I did not intent to make false application but I am afraid now to inform DVLA.
Should I go back to poland and exchange it back and then re-apply in the UK accordingly?
