Non-Molestation Order

Post by Tadi » Mon Mar 22, 2021 5:38 pm

Hi People
i applied for Citizenship last year, my ex-wife whom i have separated with applied and granted non-molestation order without notice against me after i have submitted my application. I challenged the order as it was based on lies, she only applied to get advantage of child custody arrangement. i managed together enough against to refute all the allegations and i was confident the order was going to be dismissed. Unfortunately the hearing was further delayed by another two month because of Covid. i am worried the order will have an impact on my Citizenship application. Do i need to notify the home office. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

A non-molestation order is a civil matter, which is dealt with by the civil courts. It only becomes a criminal offence if the order is breached. So it is not ordinarily dealt with by the police until there is a breach, which is reported to them.
It will not have any impact on your application unless you breach the order and it becomes a police matter then. No need to notify HO.
