Non-UK National with British Children Seeking Entry Clearance to the UK

Hello everyone,

I’m seeking advice for a Ugandan national living in Uganda with her two children. The children are British citizens and hold British passports. The children’s father, who was the British parent, has unfortunately passed away.

The mother now wishes to enter the UK with her two British children to provide them a stable environment and access to their rights as British citizens.

I’d like to know:

What route should the mother apply under for entry clearance?
What type of visa or application is most appropriate for her situation?

I understand that British citizens don’t need a visa to enter the UK, but the mother, a non-British national, would need permission to accompany her children. She has sole responsibility for the children and no other support in Uganda.

Any insights or guidance on how to proceed would be much appreciated.

My understanding is that you would have to qualify for a visa in your own right to enter the U.K.
What are the ages of your children and what is your nationality?
