Norway Schengen Visa

Hi all

I'm thinking of applying for the Schengen visa for Norway. I have gone through the london embassy website looks very professional. However I'm stuck with the document that i need to provide.

1. How can i send ticket documents without booking the tickets. I don't want to book the tickets before i get the visa??

2. How can i get the hotel document without booking the hotel. Please help??

Just book your tickets and make your hotel reservations.

I have actually been to Norway via the London Embassy. fortunately fro my Ryan Air was doing a special at the time that i went so I got return tickets for £20. For Accomodation my Norwigien friend invited me, so she had to send me a photocopy of her passport certified by the Police as well as an invitation letter. I booked my appointment.

Went in, got interviewed, Everything was legit, They told me to return the following day to pick up my passport.

if you are really going to Norway, just book everything you need and they will grant u your visa as long as u have all the supporting documents they have asked for!

Yeah i'm quite sure that I will be going to Norway however it might get delay & i dont want to waste money to book flights,hotel & not go there. Embassy website says that one should not book tickets without getting the visa.


I'm sure somebody must be having an idea?? Please help.

ok, Just visted the site and wow, things have changed since my last Visit.

But anyways I dont know why you are worried, They have actually told you how to do what u need to do, and it is pretty straight forward:

For tourism: If you are not visiting anyone in Norway / Schengen, you should submit a travel plan outlining where you intend to go (which countries, cities, etc, how you intend to travel) and where you intend to stay.

If the application is granted (you will be notified by the Embassy), you will be asked to provide proof of booked accommodation for the entire stay.

However, the Embassy recommends that you do not pay for any bookings before you know that the visa application has been granted. You also need to submit evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay, e.g. original recent bank statement, traveller's cheques, credit cards with credit limit statement. Please note that cash is not accepted.

Initailly need to give them the exact details of how you will be spending your time in Norway, when making the application.

Once they have approved your Visa, they will contact you. Once you have shown them actual bookings, They will issue the Visa.

I think their request is pretty straight forward and at least you are not spending money before you know that they have approved your Visa Application.

Ok mate so If i understand correctly I need to submit a travel plan say a word document outlining the places I'm going to visit (without any booking proof).

And once they confirm that my application is granted then they will ask for proof & then I can actually book the place and send the document across. Is that what you mean?
