OCI APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD

We did not register our marriage in India at the government office, but we have a marriage certificate issued by islamic centre of india. My husband is British , he was originally indian but was naturalised few years ago. I have an indian passport and on spouse visa in UK. My son whonwas born in 2016 is a British citizen by birth.

My sons application for oci has been put on hold as the OCI team is not accepting our Nikahnama. They are asking for Government certified marriage certificate.

what options do i have as i cannot afford to go back to india and get a Government certified marriage certificate.

Can you please advise?
