OCI applied VFS Birmingham, UK - Under process status

Hello Forum,

I have submitted the OCI application in Feb, 2016 in VFS office in Birmingham . The acknowledgment date showing in tracking status is 7th March.

I have not received any further communication and it is showing 'under process' status. I called up VFS office to know if they have any further detail but they don't have any information.

1) Is there a general delay of more than 42 days guideline in recent time ?
2) Where can I get more information on the detail status ?

I also called the VFS office but they don't have any information . I am thinking to go to Birmingham high commission in-person . Did you went to high commission ?

Did you received any update/query information from Ministry of External affairs on the delay ? It is mentioned in the status portal that any delay more than 42 days will be communicated .

No there was no request for more info. I just checked and the status is updated to PROCESSED on 23 april 2016. I think i should get it in next 7 to 10 working days.

So, based on your experience you suggest that in few cases it is taking much more time than stipulated 42 days but there is no request for more information/clarification.
