Mauricio Member Member # 1882 | Posted February 13, 2002 10:59 PM Hi I have been in UK for two years time as student doing an MSc. I am wondering if I keep my student condition for another two years am I entitled to apply for ILR?? For how long should I stay in the UK to be eligible for a ILR as student?? Or under my student condition is not possible to apply for an ILR no mater how long I stay in the UK?? And to finish with, is any regulation that treat me in some way more favourable to obtain a WP in the UK since I’ve got my MSc. degree in the UK ???(paying a lot of money since I am not from EU) Any help? Please ! Thank you. |

BA777 Member Member # 922 | Posted February 15, 2002 02:00 AM I heard that UK relaxed the rules on getting WP or TWES for candidates who graduated from a UK institution, especially in Masters. One big catch: your education shouldn't have been sponsored by your government. Maybe those more in the know will be able to provide more details... |

BA777 Member Member # 922 | Posted February 16, 2002 12:54 AM It's right on this site at: http://www.workpermit.com/uk/highly_skilled_migrant_program1.htm. It's actually called Highly Skilled Migrant Programme. |
