Chris Fysh Member Member # 618 | Posted July 17, 2002 03:38 PM It all depends upon what visa's you are both on - ie Sole Rep / Investor / EEA Association etc.. -------------------- Chris |

Dan Mirciu Junior Member Member # 4436 | Posted July 17, 2002 05:07 PM we are not printers we are IT persons. We are entitled to offer work permits to who we want so this is why I want to make some business. |
Sus Member Member # 4347 | Posted July 17, 2002 05:19 PM Dan, please note when you apply for a work permit for an employee, this employee will only be entitled to work for you, on a PAYE basis. They cannot take the work permit and move to another company. If your company is new and you haven't applied for a work permit before, you will have to provide a lot of documentation. After all that, it is not certain that the work permits will be granted. It will cost you a lot of money in advertising only. Are you willing to take many people on board this way? |

Chris Fysh Member Member # 618 | Posted July 22, 2002 05:29 PM I should point out that the work permit scheme does not allow work permit holders to operate as self-employed contractors. If an employer wishes to put you onto a client site, they must provide Service Agreements for each and every project - this will show the Home Office that the employer is a 'service provider' not merely a supplier of personnel. -------------------- Chris |
