at present me and my wife are waiting for the british system to give her a work permit which is taking a very long time ( 8 months+ ) she is very close to a nervous breakdown. if she goes back to her origin country south america and gets an entry clerance will that instantly enable her to work in britain. thank you for reading and your reply ( i am british and we married in england a year ago)

As far I understand your wife does not need a workpermit. Since you are a British citizen you could bring your wife on a spouse visa, and she can work as she likes.

Hi.

I guess that you have sent all the documents (marry docs, etc)to the Home Office. What you should get is just a stamp on her pastport with a leave to remain. This is not a workpermit, she is allow to work after beeing married to a UK national, she doesn't need her passport back in order to start working.
