Well, where should I begin with? ok... I've read from a Hong Kong news-media that someone is filing a lawsuit to against the Britain Government on the BNO issue (British Nationality Overseas) for Hong Kong People who born before July, 1997 and declared as "British" instead of "Chinese". The complainant suggests that all BNO Passport Holders should have their right to live/work in UK or even to be treated as EU citizens.

Does anybody hear of this news? Any update at all? Well, it's kinda upsat when you have an "United Kingdon of Great Britain and Northern Ireland" passport, but you have no right to live and work there...

The British Government does not even have a clear statement on this matter

British Nationality
This is a highly complex area. Many factors contribute to deciding someone's eligibility for British nationality and we are here to advise you. You are welcome to consult us on the claim to British nationality of your Hong Kong-born child, and naturalisation, registration, renunciation and resumption of British nationality. There is no charge for advice, but applications for registration, renunciation and resumption of British nationality are subject to fees. As these applications are processed by the Home Office, we cannot set target times within which they should be completed.
