Jet Li Junior Member Member # 5748 | Posted October 26, 2002 02:35 AM For the 2-year visa, we can work for 1 year FULL-TIME MAXIMUM? How do they know that I've been working for an UK employer for the period of time? Do we have to file tax or something?

This kind of restrictions are very difficult to police which is why they're currently considering an overhaul of this scheme but nobody knows if and when they'll be announcing changes. |

kiwinyc Member Member # 251 | Posted October 27, 2002 03:16 PM Yeah, but the hOme office does not coordinate with the tax office for things like this... neither does the Home Office have the resources to deal with every suspected WHV infringement - they have more important things to worry about, which is why, as Hector says, the odds are that you'd get away with working for more than one yr max.. and I'm sure many people still do. |
