Shankaran Junior Member Member # 4754	Posted November 23, 2002 05:27 AM Hi I worked in uk for 16 months .At present iam having 2 years workpermit and interested to take take a project in UAE.I would like to know how long i can be out of uk,with out effecting my work permit validity.If iam out of uk for few months, will my workpermit get expired.Any help on this.Please write me how legal it is and how long i can away from uk and and any possible solutions for this.Thanks in advance. regards sankaran
Deleted Member Member # 128	Posted November 23, 2002 02:07 PM If you go outside the UK on a secondment (your employer is sending you out), you will not be affected but you must have a letter from your employer stating the project you were sent to, its location, etc.

If you go outside the UK on a secondment (your employer is sending you out), you will not be affected but you must have a letter from your employer stating the project you were sent to, its location, etc.
