muzi Junior Member Member # 2002	Posted November 26, 2002 03:14 PM This morning I heard a rumour from friends in SA that the Uk were going to introduce visas from South Africans from the 1 December 2002. Can anyone confirm this or have any idea where it may have started?

david Member Member # 9	Posted November 28, 2002 04:08 PM The UK government usually only applies visa restrictions on countries when there's an obvious abuse of immigration controls as in the case of Zimbabwe. South Africans have no history of abusing UK immigration controls (at least no more than any other non-visa country) and therefore I doubt very much that the UK government would apply visa restrictions on South African nationals.
