Hello Everyone,

I have several questions regarding my HSMP application: I am in UK currently and my student visa will expire in less than 3 months.

1. Should I submit a visa application (FLR form) along with my HSMP form? Or should I do separately?

2. According to FLR form instruction, I should not apply too early prior to the expiry day. However, it also says, it is best that I submit more than 5 weeks before the visa expiry date. Should I apply for my visa extension now?

Thank you,

Noble

You can apply much closer to the expiration date. You shouldn't apply earlier than 5 weeks before. In-country applications are processed fairly quickly and it doesn't matter if it takes them past the expiration date to approve it, provided that the application was received BEFORE the expiration date.

Applying as late as possible gives you more time to find a job during the one year period. On the other hand, if you already have a job lined up, then it's worth applying 5 weeks before.

Thank you for the answer, Joseph

However, I still get a little bit confused that whether FLR must be submitted along with HSMP form together or submitted seperately?

They are submitted together.
