(This is the question which my friend has raised, please give your valuable replies)

I am an overseas student. I recently have done MBA. As soon as I finished studies, I got a TEMPORARY full time position (i.e working for council in London).
Soon, I will be given offer to join the current TEMP job on peramenent basis.

Of course, British citizens can easily fill the position whichI am doing. But my manager is happy with my progress and wants to keep me on permanenet basis.

Now the thing, I am worried about and what I need to know is:

If council gives an ad in news paper. After conducting interviews and other formalities, if I am given position permanenetly. Will the home office have any hesistation for issuing my work-permit?????????

All types of replies will be appreciated

Thanks

Do yourself a great favour and don't deal with the process of getting a WP yourself.

The situation you have just described is too sensitive for a "Do It Yourself" solution.

Your application could easily fail since your employer has to prove that no resident worker could do the job even after training. The fact that your employer likes you, that you are better than any other applicant and that you are doing a great job there is absolutely immaterial.

You should use professional immigration services like Workpermit.com (the host of this forum).

I have assumed that your job description is not within the occupations shortage list.
