Duderoo Junior Member Member # 1751	Posted January 21, 2003 04:52 PM I am at present working in the IT field on a Helpdesk and my employee wants to keep but my Visa has expired. My employer is very happy with my work and does not want to hire anyone else. As my field of work is not in the shortage skills list is there any my employer can do to keep me. I am at present on a WH visa.

There is really no way around it especially in this economic climate. It will be a tough sell as Help Desk is not considered a 'graduate level' position however if you're third level support specializing in Cisco routers or something you might have a shot.
