I am personally very interested in applications made by people who were self employed at the time, or even unemployed. Many thanks. |
Loonycat1 Member Member # 664 | Posted February 03, 2003 06:53 PM Well I am not self employed or unemployed but I am currently putting my extension application together. I should have it done in the next week or so and will post more details then of the what, where and how of my application. And of course, I shall let you all know whether it was successful or not! Best wishes to all, |

Joseph Member Member # 184 | Posted February 16, 2003 10:11 PM Looneycat, How did your renewal go? Joseph |

Have to admit I was a little tardy getting it done as work has been a bit nuts for a couple of weeks but I finally sent it off late last week. I hope to hear back from them early next week. How is the job search going for you? What sort of positions are you looking at? LC1 |
ktdt77 Member Member # 3749 | Posted February 17, 2003 08:27 PM a) How long they are likely to extend the HSMP? b) Will they extend for 3 years even in the case of unemployment/or still abroad? c) Is it some kind of personal meeting at home office or just send it by post and wait for the response? |
Loonycat1 Member Member # 664 | Posted February 17, 2003 09:16 PM Hi Ktd - I'll try and answer your questions. 1. It is my understanding that if Workpermits UK decide to extend your HSMP permit, it is automatically for 3 years. That then gives you 4 years in a category leading to settlement in which to apply for ILR. Hope that helps. |
