Hi ALL,

I am working in UK for past 1 year with a salary of 25k per annum and i get extra bonusof worth 6K which is taxed.As my salary is jsut 25K i would liek to know of my bonus is considered as as earnings.If my bonus is considered i will get points in this ?

I think it is ok to include your bonus. If you can get it in the wage slips or/and your employer detail the amount of the bonus within the details for your earnings this will be fine - because this is not something earned from any of the non permited activities (read guidelines) - in fact it is exactly recieved from what is your primary job.

Any extra (taxable) payments should be reported, because in a variety of places they are an "official" part of a payroll policy, e.g. someone's compensation package consisting of 90% paid as salary, and 10% as a bonus, which may be somewhat higher or lower (or absent) depending on actual performance.

Some places (e.g., banking) go as far as paying most of their exec's compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, while only 15-20% (or less) of their total comp is paid out in installments throughout the year.

Thanks Bug Master and Cosmo.
My bonus is mentioned in the payslips i get for that month.So i dont think i will have any problem with it.
