afzalasm Member Member # 3354 | Posted February 21, 2004 07:57 AM Hello All, I am almost done with my case prep. Need to ask one question to those who have got results so far from HO includes Ajay, HSMP, NationOne etc etc. Thanks in advance. Which currency convertor site results you attached with your case. It is my observation that after day time, all such currency convertors stopped due to market close and stays for a single stable rate for next day morning. I am almost over boundry to get these 25 points for GBP 5000. and pound is fluctuating with huge margins. What to do? -------------------- Regards, |
Indian Boy Junior Member Member # 7629 | Posted February 21, 2004 08:36 PM Yes, does anybody have some idea? The US dollar is dramatically losing value against the pound in the last weeks. [ February 21, 2004: Message edited by: Indian Boy ] |
HSMP Member Member # 7481 | Posted February 22, 2004 12:03 PM Use www.Onada.com HO probably likes to use this site for currency rates. |
HSMP Member Member # 7481 | Posted February 22, 2004 12:07 PM give HO the average exchange rate over 12months period. Dont worry about fluctuations. |
afzalasm Member Member # 3354 | Posted February 23, 2004 08:27 AM Thanks HSMP for your responses. How can you guess this site used by HO? I am checking the followings; www.xe.com www.forexpk.com What did you and OTHERS on this portal sent, current converted rates or avg. of last 12 months. How can I find avg. rate of last 12 months. Your reply and others interest will greatly be appreciated. -------------------- Regards, |
Dip Member Member # 4428 | Posted February 23, 2004 09:32 AM www.oanda.com should give you the averages. If not let me know the currency pair you are looking for and I can give you an indication. Probably useful for you to know that the sterling fell sharply on Friday. Regards |
HSMP Member Member # 7481 | Posted February 23, 2004 02:56 PM Myself and some of my freinds used this site and were successful. I would suggest you go for Oanda rather than ne other site(Not that i m marketing for Oanda ) Regds |
pixi Member Member # 6282 | Posted February 24, 2004 04:02 PM I also used www.onada.com, and used the average. That was last year. The US dollar is currently in the dumps! |
Indian Boy Junior Member Member # 7629 | Posted February 24, 2004 05:43 PM Do they use the period's average? I have a friend that tried the HSMP program last September and he said he thinks HO people used values available in some Central Bank sites, by the ask price in the exact date your money was received. However he is not sure, and I didn't found any currency rates information at BoE site. |
Dip Member Member # 4428 | Posted February 24, 2004 06:44 PM For a valid comparision use average rate for the salary period in question. For instance, if you are claiming salary points for Use the 0-8 months average for GBP/USD I dont work for oanda.com but think its a great site. Most central banks dont provide quotes on the site. Further ..pl use the ASK price or the Bank selling price for GBP always. Regards |

Dip Member Member # 4428 | Posted March 02, 2004 06:49 PM The pound just fell like a rock late noon against the dollar. May be good for some of you. Rgds |
JayGee Member Member # 7446 | Posted March 04, 2004 05:16 PM Dip, I also get redirected to http://digimoney.com/default.html when trying to access Onada? Please check for me ZAR/GBP? |
kishorebhosale Member Member # 7445 | Posted March 04, 2004 05:33 PM Basically Pixi mispelled it earlier and so even I had the same problem it www.oanda.com and not www.onada.com |
Dip Member Member # 4428 | Posted March 04, 2004 05:34 PM JayGee, Thats quite wierd, just tried it and it works. Anyways GBP/ZAR peaked at around 13.72 mid Jan and is currently trading at 12.45 Have they charged your credit card? We have seen GBP/ZAR in the 12-13 band for the entire month of Feb. Remember ZAR is not traded against the GBP. Its traded via the dollar so the rates you get from the credit card company may be wider. Regards |
kishorebhosale Member Member # 7445 | Posted March 04, 2004 05:35 PM Dip refer to my previous reply... |
