VikB Junior Member Member # 7059 | Posted February 25, 2004 09:30 PM Hi there ND , Simpleton, I think the problem is the final 6 months - U said 2yrs(WP) + 1.5 Yrs(Dependant) + 6 months(WP) It seems that HSMP with any of the other categories can count towards ILR. So if you were on HSMP for the last 6 months, they should've considered it. That is my understanding. Perhaps, Kayalami, Joseph or TVT can add something more. VikB |
Dip Member Member # 4428 | Posted February 26, 2004 01:10 PM For ILR, HSMP holders can amalgamate prior leave to remain as long as it was in the CLS. For WP holders, there is no provision to amalgamate. Trust this clarifies. Regards |
ND Junior Member Member # 7557 | Posted February 27, 2004 10:39 AM So 2 years(WP Depandent) + 2 year(HSMP) =ILR But 2 years(WP Depandant) + 2 years(WP) = NO ILR. Is this what u are trying to to tell Dipppp ? |
Kayalami Member Member # 5984 | Posted February 27, 2004 03:00 PM ND, The consideration of dependency in a CLS is only considered where HSMP is held at the time of ILR application...i.e. for WP dependent status/ other DS under the quoted paras of the IR's you must have your last status leading to ILR as HSMP. Hope that clears it. -------------------- ---audi alteram partem--- |
ND Junior Member Member # 7557 | Posted February 27, 2004 03:17 PM Thanks Kayalami .I got it ... so if the final status is HSMP then we can get ILR.So its always better to have HSMP than WP. |
