I would like to know if anyone has ever qualified for HSMP status with 0 points for earning power.

I happen to miss the earning power qualifying points as i am short of 500 pounds to equal 7500

Therefore is worth sending across my application.

I currently my point status to 75.

As long as you get an overall 65 points it does not matter if you zero score in any part of the points criteria. Typically those applying under the GP preference scheme obtain HSMP easiest as they qualify just on their academic qualifications and the 50 points allocated to them without ever having earned a penny. Note that under 28's get a 5 point allowance and having a skilled spouse gives you another 10 so you only need 50...all those women getting proposals after the HSMP re-assesment criteria..who says the Home Office doesn't do wonders for the institution of marriage

Thanx for the info kayalami and bug-master.

I was just wondering as i am dependent on my 14 yrs of Project management experience in the retail - IT front and i am just a graduate with international exposure.

So i am looking at getting atleast 35 points on experience side and the least no of points on the significant acheivement side.

I just hope it works out. The best part is i have a expired work permit of UK which i let it pass as the employer back tracked on the pay package. Wondering whether this would be treated negatively at the Home office.
