Although if one have he'll be able to tell you. But if not then even if some of the members tell you yes and some no, this will not be valid. So if you don't get an answer soon just ask NARIC. | afzalasm Member Member # 3354 | Posted February 28, 2004 06:25 AM Bahi, I wrote so many time on this (check my replies to manies) and again writing this for u. 14 yrs pakistani bachelor = 1st year british bachelor you need 15 yrs of education to get british bachelor ordinary and 16 to get british bachelor honors, and 17 years education for british master ... | studyuk2004 Member Member # 7154 | Posted February 28, 2004 07:03 AM An LLB from Pakistan is recognized as equivalent to the UK LLB if you want to apply for an LLM or take bar exam in the UK. An LLB from Pakistan is IMHO not allowed to practice law in the UK. You have to get a UK LLB or an LLM or be called upon the bar to practice law in the UK. |

The question was "Is he able to secure 15 points on the basis of BA, LLB from Pakistan, which is totally 15-year education in Pakistan. Thanks |

I've applied with following degrees and got equal to Bachelor (Honors) from NARIC. | Zia-ul-Hassan zia Member Member # 6627 | Posted March 03, 2004 11:39 PM Afzalaslam I have my master degree in computer science from International Islamic university Islamabad(17 years of education), but HSMP team consider it as Bachelor degree and award me 15 points .Should I contact to NARIC in this regard.Allso my wife ha BA degree from Punjab University Lahore and 3 year Nursing(Midwifary diploma) from Public Nursin school Lahore with 3 years of experience in Pakistan, HSMP did not award any point for that. What is your suggestion, I should pursue my application? Also I would request to other board members like Kaya,Joseph,DIP,Mandarkumar to provide their valuable opinion. Zia |

My suggestions to all of my friends, Please make sure you do not assume or bank on points you dont feel easily available for yourself. NARIC takes very less amount to give you comparability statement that may confirm you points while you calculate it at your end. -------------------- Regards, |
