Hi, everybody,
could somebode help me with reference letters from my job: in what language they should be written - native and then translated and justified or they should be in English?

Antonka,

Your HSMP caseworker most likely will not be able to read leave alone understand Ukraninan/Russian...

Therefore, It would be helpfull if your references were in English and/or translated into English

What I`m asking is that should the letters be in native and translated OR should they be in English ???

Antonka,

Either will do.

Additionally, if the letters are a native language, I suspect, they may require information on your own proficiency in English.

Hi,
I am pretty sure that stamp is not needed. Have asked a couple of fellows which are in the UK for years. Sign should be enough.
As per HSMP guidelines the reference letters should pe on a headed paper containing start and end data and description of the duties. I may not be perfectly correct with the quote, but if you wish you can open the guidelines and look for this one.

Got your email...here's my understanding. All documents should either be written in English or written in your native language and accompanyied by "certified translations". That said, all employer letters of reference must list your position title, time period position was held, and responsibilities while in position. Also, they need to have original signatures and be printed on the company's letterhead. I wrote both letters that I submitted (to ensure that the pertinent info was provided) and had the appropriate personnel sign the documents. I'm writing from home now, and unfortunately don't have access to the letters on this PC. So, I hope this helps...
