Gregory Vaughan Junior Member Member # 440 | Posted October 24, 2001 01:50 PM Hi -- I'm an American (US Citizen) who would like bring work with me when travelling thru France. My stays would be under 90 days, and all my work would be for US clients (no salary in France). Would I need a work permit or commercial card for this type of work? thanks |
Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted October 24, 2001 02:18 PM Hi Gregory This is a tough question, although you probably would not require a work permit for this type of business activity, as long as you were not doing any kind of work on a French company's site that a French or EU national could do. It might be worth applying for a commercial card, however, since then you could "freelance" without worrying about breaking any laws. I think the French Embassy or your local Consulate should be able to provide you with more information on this. Best regards Elfa -------------------- Elfa Kere, Consultant |
