Hi guys/gals...SOS....I am in need of some information....fast !

I work in Netherlands on a work permit.

Would anyone know (or find out ... please) what are the conditions on which an intra-company transfer work permit is granted. I know it has something to do with a certain amount of salary, designation, no. of years with the original country unit etc. etc. But I dont know the exact figures.

I am in a very very strange situation w.r.t. my work permit extension. I am on the verge of not having my work permit extended and having to go back by the end of this month !!!

I think an intra-company transfer work permit is the only hope for me here. So I NEED to have information when it comes down to pushing my case with the management.

Any..any..any help/clues will be much..much appreciated !!

Thank you.

you will find a lot of information on NL work permits and related issues on www.expatica.com > Netherlands. You will have to hunt for the right section. Let me know if you can find enough info there.

Thanks a ton for agreeing to answer my queries. I am from India, working in UK for last 12 months. And am being approached by a company in Netherlands for a job opportunity. I still hold Indian Nationality and hence required MVV. I have the following questions:

1. How long does it take to get the entire process.
2. I take it my documents will be required for verification and legalisation. How long does the process takes.
3. How long would it take for my wife before she can visit on family re-union visa.
4. Would my wife be able to take any employment there without requiring visa, as is the case in UK.
5. Also, since it is still in negotiations, what is a good salary in Netherland to get, I haven't quoted any salary yet.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi,

First of all I suggest you check the site I mentioned to answer many of your queries.

On the other hand:
1. Legalisation: it depends upon where you live in India. It can take from 6 weeks to 3/4 months.
2. Re-union: I know of a person for whome it took about 8 months go get his wife here on re-union. I suggest you do the legalisation/verfication for your wife along with yours. Thats the fastest way. Then the time taken will be as long as yours.
3. Nope. Your wife would not be able to work here on a dependent visa as in UK.
4. WP's process now-a-days take about 12 weeks. Also I've heard that the gov is dening WP applications due to the current economin/market situation.
5. Salary: Salaries here are lower then those in UK. You'll be surprised at the difference. It would also depend upon your skills and experience. Also a handy thing to do would be to get the 30% tax ruling. For more on tax go to: www.minfin.nl > english > taxation > taxation in the Netherlands > 4. Income tax > 4.2 & 4.4 .
