GSOtodd Junior Member Member # 1662 | Posted January 22, 2002 09:44 AM Hello I am a student at Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC. USA. I will be graduating in May 2002 with a degree in History and a minor in English. I am studying to be a teacher. I have thought a long time about moving and establishing citizenship in either England, Ireland, Netherlands, or New Zealand. Could someone tell me how I could do this. Can someone tell me some school officials that I could get in contact with in these countries. My email address is Bridgestodd@hotmail.com. -------------------- Todd Andrew Bridges |
Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted January 22, 2002 11:56 AM Hi Todd For most European countries, you need a job offer and employer sponsorship in order to get a work permit, and therefore residency, in that particular country. Once you establish residency, you should be able to apply for citizenship within a few years. New Zealand is the only country you mentioned that offers points-based migration based on your skills, qualifications and work experience. Please see our new self-assessment points calculator for New Zealand on this website at http://www.workpermit.com/new_zealand/nz_calculator.htm to find out if you have a good chance of gaining residency in New Zealand on this basis. Hope this helps! Elfa -------------------- Elfa Kere, Consultant |
