hello, i am ervin and i live in australia and my girlfriend lives in France. what kind of visa can i get so that i can stay in France for a long period of time and i can also work. i am learning how to speak French. i work in retail, graphic arts and i am an actor. WHAT CAN I DO? thanks for all the help.

Hi Erv

If you are an actor, you may be eligible to apply for a temporary artisan's visa for France which would allow you to work as a self-employed artist. Your only other options to work there would be if you had a job offer and employer sponsorship, or married your girlfriend (if she is French)!

You can find out more about the performer's visa from your local French Consulate.
