Hi,

At the moment I am in England and I just finished a MSc Computer Communications & Networks, My mother tongue is Spanish but logically I speak English and some Italian as well.

Even when I've got a non-EU passport I am planning to get a job in Spain in the IT field. I would like to know if anyone knows how the Spanish Work Permits are working at the moment?. Do they have any shortage list as in the UK to make easy apply for a WP in some specific fields??

How long a WP is taking there and is any specialised recruitment offices for IT and WP??

Any help I would really appreciate??

Hi Mauricio,

Sorry to say, but Spain is one of the most terrible European countries when it comes to work permit regulations. In fact, they seem to make every effort to make the application procedure as complicated and bureaucratic as possible. Processing times are currently around 5-8 months for an application. You will have to find a Spanish company that is willing to employ you, and they will have to give you a vast range of social security guarantees before you can be considered for a Spanish work permit application.

Once you have found a prospective employer in Spain, you may wish to contact us at spain@workpermit.com for assistance with your Spanish work permit application.

Best wishes
