Hello,

I have two separate questions:

- Does having a permanent residence/working permit for another EU country helps me in getting a work permit visa in France?

- For how many years (an estimation will be welcome too) I should live in France in order to be able to get(apply) for citizenship? Is it important what I am doing in this time, working/ studying/etc...

- Getting a work permit in France is as easy as in all the other EU countries or there are some special regulations?

Finally the three question were for.
Thank you in advance for you answers and suggestions.

Best Regards,
Cristian

Hi Cristian

1) No, a work permit or PR for one EU country does not make it easier for you to get a work permit for France, unless you are being seconded to France on a project by your current employer for a short period of time, and

2) I think it's at least 5 years of legal residence but you should double-check with the French Consulate on this on, and

3) Getting a work permit (full) for France is much harder than for other EU countries although a detache (secondment) work permit is somewhat easier to obtain, as long as you have the right documentation.

Workpermit.com can assist you and your employer with the above processes if you have a project to work on in France - please contact me on france@workpermit.com for more information on our services and fees.
