IRIS Junior Member Member # 3706 | Posted June 03, 2002 11:32 AM Hi, I am working here in Holland (with a work permit) for three yeares. Is it automatic that I can get a permant resident permit? Exactly what right do I have is I have it besides that I can work without work permit any more? If I got umemployed, will the Dutch government widraw my residency?? Furthermore, if after I got this 'permanent residency" and then move to Germany to work, can I / How can I keep the Dutch residency?? Many thanks, |

You should be issued a residence card with the right to work. If you become unemployed, I don't believe the Dutch government will withdraw your residency status. If you move to Germany to work you are likely to lose the permanent residency in the Netherlands unless you are resident in the Netherlands at least 6 months out of the year. Hope this helps!
