Banya Member Member # 4097 | Posted July 10, 2002 03:39 PM Dear All, I have been told that according to new EU ploicy resident of any EU country would be able to work anywhere in the EU without applying for work permit or any other form of permission. For example, Pakistani passport holder with UK ILR would be eligible for work in Germany, Itlay and ... without applying for work permit!! Any comments!! Thanks |

Banya Member Member # 4097 | Posted July 10, 2002 04:31 PM Hector, What is meant by 'legal entity'? As for as my understanding is: it means 'permanent resident' of any EU country. Thanks |
Deleted Member Member # 128 | Posted July 11, 2002 10:29 AM Legal entity means a company. In example, a UK company is allowed to deploy UK work-permit holders temporarily in France without having to get a French work permit for them. However, if such employees were to be employed by a French company, they would have to get a French permit. There are no EU-wide common immigration laws, so a permit/residence in one country does not grant any rights whatsoever throughout the EU. |
