Marc Junior Member Member # 4661 | Posted July 31, 2002 11:45 AM I am a long term U.K. resident and I am trying to find out when the EU Council Directive that will allow free movement/work of "third country nationals who are long-term residents" I have read a council proposal 2001/0074 CNS but I have been offered a job in Belgium and can anyone help, perhaps pointing me to the current state of the legislation ? Thanks |

Since the UK has decided not to adopt this particular directive, it might be that the other EU countries will exclude UK permanent residents. In any event, you need to ask to the Belgian authorities, probably your nearest Belgian consulate might be able to give you an answer.
