my grandfather was born in Derry in what is now Northern Ireland just before the turn of the century and moved to Canada. Does this give me the right to apply for Irish passport due to ancestry?

Hello,
You may have read recent information about Irish Dual citizenship based on ancestory. If not, here is a recent article on the workabroad.monster.com website: http://workabroad.monster.com/articles/dual/
