Sanjay Sachdev Junior Member Member # 328 | Posted October 11, 2001 03:52 PM What if the female applicant give birth to a child after the application is filed to the NZIS? What would be the status of that child? whether the child would be automatically included in the application form or the applicant will have to intimate/inform about the birth of the child? To be more specific, my wife is expecting to deliver the baby in the first week or 2nd week of March 2002. I expect to file the application before the child is born. What would be the status of our child would the baby be automatically included or how we have to pass this information to the NZ Immigration authorities after the application is filed. sachdev19@hotmail.com |
Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted October 17, 2001 11:49 AM HI again Sanjay If your child was born prior to lodging the application with the NZIS, you would include the child on the application. If the child was born after the application was submitted, then you would need to inform the NZIS about the birth, and he/she would be included on the application. If the child is born in New Zealand, he/she would be granted permanent residency status and could later apply for citizenship. Regards Elfa -------------------- Elfa Kere, Consultant |
