nivedha Junior Member Member # 385 | Posted October 18, 2001 06:27 PM Hello. I've completed my bachelors in India and I'll be coming down under in Jan to study Master of Electronic Commerce at Curtin uni,Perth. This is a one year course from Jan to Nov. My question is, how soon can I apply for migration after joining the course? I'd also like to know if there are any point concessions for IT - related studies. Please help. nivedha |
Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted October 22, 2001 04:42 PM Hi You will be able to apply for permanent residency once you have completed your year-long degree course in Australia. And yes, there are concessions made for ICT Professionals, but these mostly have to do with processing times rather than your points score. If a particular skill of yours is found on the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) then you would be able to score additional points (more if you have a job offer, as well).
