I've applied for immigration to Australia for my wife and I.
We've submitted all the forms and I have successfully completed the medical.
However, my wife can not do the medical as she is pregnant and due to give birth
in February. I believe she can complete the medical after our baby is born.

I've been working in IT for over 10 years as a software developer, aged 32, 3 year diploma.
I think we have enough points from my caluclations.

Is it possible that the points could change before my wife gets to do the medical??

Hi

It is possible, but highly unlikely. From the information you provided, you would pass the points test with flying colours (about 115 points on the basis of your skill alone). The pass mark of 110 points has not changed in the past several years. I would not worry about it changing before your wife completes the medical. And anyhow, your application will be assessed against the pass mark in existence at the time your application was lodged.

BTW, did your skills assessment come back as suitable and did you submit this with your other documents? Usually you should not get the medical done until the High Commission has requested this, as well, since your medical might expire prior to their request.

If you need additional help, please feel free to e-mail me on australia@workpermit.com

Best regards
