HI

Yes, it is absolutely necessary to get a "work permit" if you intend to work in Australia for a few months. Depending on your citizenship and other factors, you may qualify for a working holiday visa. Otherwise, you will need to secure a job offer and sponsorship by an employer in Australia who will be able to get the "work permit" for you.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jeroen

Yes, you should go to the Australian consulate and apply for a Working Holiday Visa, and this should be processed within about 4 weeks.

Sorry Elfa I've moved over to this one as well!

Is there an age limit to a working holiday visa?

Hi John

Yes there is an age limit for Working Holiday Visa, you must be under age 31 (i.e. you should apply before your 31st birthday).

Sabrina,

I would suggest you complete our Immigration Appraisal form on our website at http://www.workpermit.co.uk/australia/appraisal_form.htm for a full assessment of your chances to apply and details of the process involved

All the best

hello elfa

i've been looking around abit and i've found out that if you want a working holiday visa you can obtain it in the Hague (netherlands) whitin one(1) day. you have to go there early in the morning and if possible it's ready to take with you at noon.so that is quite fast isn't it anyway thanks for your advice.

Hi Jeroen

Thanks for confirming this! The processing time I quoted was for an Australian working holiday visa applied for within the UK.

BEst regards
