| Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted November 07, 2001 05:41 PM HI Yes, it is absolutely necessary to get a "work permit" if you intend to work in Australia for a few months. Depending on your citizenship and other factors, you may qualify for a working holiday visa. Otherwise, you will need to secure a job offer and sponsorship by an employer in Australia who will be able to get the "work permit" for you. Hope this helps. I am 44 years having diploma in hotel room division ( 3 years course) & diploma business administration ( one year)& diploma in interior designing (one year)having about 18 years of experience in hotel industry. daughter is in year 9 & has completed grade trinity college elocution exam & piano music. please advice me how I should apply for permenet visa to australia & how to get a work permit. thank you. |

| jeroen Junior Member Member # 608 | Posted November 13, 2001 05:36 PM hello elfa i've been looking around abit and i've found out that if you want a working holiday visa you can obtain it in the Hague (netherlands) whitin one(1) day. you have to go there early in the morning and if possible it's ready to take with you at noon.so that is quite fast isn't it anyway thanks for your advice. |
