JBudd Junior Member Member # 641 | Posted November 09, 2001 07:50 PM I have checked the Australian embassy site for Ireland and there is a note to General Skilled Migration applicants reading the following:

Also I've read that because of a shortage of IT professionals in Australia, these applications are given priority and so should be faster. Is there any truth to this? Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted November 13, 2001 01:25 PM Hi Processing times in Adelaide are quoted at about 12 months now. Priority will still be given to ICT Professionals, but I would still count on 9 months for these types of applications. BTW, it is highly unlikely that even an ICT app would have been processed within three months, generally at overseas posts they were taking 7-9 months anyway. Witt Member Member # 567 | Posted November 13, 2001 03:24 PM there were messages in newsgroup misc.immigration.australia+nz regarding times in Ireland couple of months ago - so I quoted their timeframe... > > "Tony Lyons" <tonylyons32@eircom.net> wrote in message

Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted November 13, 2001 04:31 PM Hi You are right, I think it was the fact that not as many apps are lodged in Dublin - London is rather overburdened....but again, I suppose it is too late to dispute the matter.
