Would I be better placed to get a job for a year in NewZealand and then go through the application process? or apply directly from the UK? Help and comments would be much appreciated! Julian

As long as you pass the points test, you should have a good chance to migrate under the skills category. Please be advised that if you are interested in an initial assessment on immigration to New Zealand, you should complete our Immigration Appraisal Form available on our website at http://www.workpermit.com/new_zealand/employee6.htm. If you have a CV on hand it may be more convenient for you to provide much of the information in CV format (in Rich Text (.rtf) or Plain Text (.txt) Format, please) and send this to me at nzvisa@workpermit.com in addition to filling out the on-line form. As soon as we receive the above-mentioned details, you will be provided a complete initial assessment on your ability to migrate to New Zealand. HI Julian
