americanwife Junior Member Member # 1696	Posted January 23, 2002 08:56 PM I've read the booklets and am now trying to decide which stream to file a visa application: I qualify by points for a skilled independent, but last month married an Australia citizen/resident, so could apply on the spouse stream... Anyone have any thoughts/facts on which is the better/easier way to apply? Thanks!
ravi Junior Member Member # 872	Posted January 23, 2002 09:48 PM I would suggest you to apply as a spouse of an Australian rather than applying as an independent skill migrant as this invloves lots of procedures and takes some time to come through. The processing is centralised in Adelaide. good luck

Elfa Member Member # 5	Posted January 24, 2002 05:11 PM I would agree with Ravi in that your most straightforward option would be to apply as the spouse of an Australian citizen. Still hoping I might be able to transfer with my company, but won't know that for a month at least, if not more (which is why we're moving ahead with the visa appl). Thanks again!
