Gurunathan Ganesan Junior Member Member # 2044 | Posted February 13, 2002 09:59 AM Dear Sir, I have 7 years engineering office experience and working as a CAD Engineer-Mechanical. I have Dimploma in Mechanical Engineering(3 years) qualification. My age is 31. When I calculated the points for New Zealand immigration, it comes only 21 points. With this points, can I apply for General Skill Immigration? Can I get work visa & job to add another 5 points? So that I will pass in points test. Please advice me. Sincerely, |
Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted February 15, 2002 03:40 PM HI If you score 21 points under the General SKills category, then you can apply for a temporary visa to allow you to look for a job in New Zealand. If you are then able to secure a job offer within 6 months, you will be granted an additional 5 points and therefore a PR visa. Good luck! Elfa -------------------- Elfa Kere, Consultant |
