Hi,

I have completed my doeacc C level course (equivalent to M Tech) in India.
I want to know, whether this course can be considered as equivalent to a Masters in computers degree for immigration to Australia.

Thanks ..

HI

If this was a degree in one of the following fields awarded after at least two years of full-time work experience, then it should be equated to an Australian Master's degree:

Applied Science (Computing)
Applied Science (Computer Science)
Applied Science (Information Systems)
Business (Data Processing) (old)
Business (Electronic Data Processing) (old)
Business (Information Systems)
Computer Science
Computer Science Engineering
Information
Information Systems
Information Technology
Management Information Systems
Software Engineering

Good luck!

Thanks Elfa.
Yes, it is a certificate in the field of Information Technology.
and I do have two years of work experience.
But then do I need to get it assessed also before applying for immigration,
or do I just apply for immigration and then get it assessed if the immigration officer asks for it.
Thanks

HI

Sorry, I meant to write in my previous response to your posting that the degree certificate must have been awarded after at least two years of full time STUDY, rather than work experience. My apologies, must have been a long day....

And yes you will need to get this assessed by the ACS through their standard skills assessment prior to lodging your immigration application.

Regards

Elfa
