| shavisa Junior Member Member # 2067 | Posted February 14, 2002 03:20 PM I am an Indian CA and have sent my papers to ICAA for skill assessment. I am yet to hear from them. I believe it takes 2 months in the process. Can the documents to be submitted with 47SK be certified by any indian medical practitioner/bank manager? Do i need to apply for police verification at this stage or only after instuction from VISA office. I am told that after skills assessment it will again take more than a year for application processing. Is that true? What precautions should i take to avoid common mistakes which generally delay application processing. I wish to enrol for some academic course, which can be completed in one year, so that I have one additional qualification before I immigrate to Australia. Which course do You recommend me to join and which is acceptable in Australia.How About CISA or CFE. Should I submit my IELTS test score along with application or wait from VISA office instruction regarding taking the test.I am yest to sit for that test. Regrds |
| Elfa Member Member # 5 | Posted February 15, 2002 04:01 PM Hi 1) Yes the ICAA can take up to 10 weeks to process the skills assessment 2) If an Indian medical practitioner is legally allowed to make certified copies of original documentation in India, then this would be accepted by DIMA 3) Only after DIMAs instructions 4) Yes You should submit your IELTS test score with your visa application.
