hi everybody,
i currently hold an australian work permit and at the same time iam completing my masters in Information technology in sydney.
is it possible for me to apply for immigration under skilled independent overseas student category or should i apply only under skilled independent employer category.because the skilled independent overseas student category is hassle free.
can i clai, points for my australian qualification.
can anyone please clarify.

Hi Kevin

I would advise you to go the overseas student route and yes, you could claim points for your Australian qualification once granted.

firstly thanks ELFA for your suggestion.
i still have a small doubt.
to apply under the student category. is it ok if i hold a work permit or should i convert to student visa.
your valuable suggestion would be appreciated.

Hi

You will need to hold a student visa in order to apply for permanent residency under the Skilled Overseas Student category.
